Board of Trustees Adds New Members
The Habitat Board of Trustees has a new look with the recent addition of three new members. Kimber Russell, Diana Telford, and Shirley Naccarato were introduced in September and will begin their first two-year term at the October 21st meeting. Each new member brings a wide range of business and non-profit experience to the board which now numbers eleven.
Kimber Russell is a business consultant, teacher and trainer. She currently volunteers as Vice-Chair of Serve Idaho, the Governor’s commission on service and volunteerism.
Diana Telford has an extensive background in affordable housing in Colorado Springs and Boise. Most recently she was the Director of Homeownership Programs at NeighborWorks Boise.
A familiar face at the table is Shirley Naccarato who has volunteered and worked for Habitat for twelve years. Recently “retired”, Shirley has been an integral part of our current Homeowner Application process will continue to support our work through her board position.
The Board of Trustees is responsible for guiding the organization towards a sustainable future by adopting sound governance and financial management policies, as well as by making sure the affiliate has adequate resources to advance its mission and vision. Members serve up to three two-year terms.
