Once again, I’m so thankful for all the volunteers that I’ve coordinated schedules with for our construction days over the past four years. Your dedication and hard work have been the backbone of our community and it’s because of this that we have been able to achieve so much.

This month, I’m excited to highlight the work of our Repairs Program, especially following the recent release of our repair-focused videos with Intermountain Gas Company that showcase the critical impact of this part of our mission. These videos inspired us to put repairs front and center in this newsletter, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to share some updates directly with you.

I am thrilled to share that this month marks an exciting period of growth and activity for Treasure Valley Habitat for Humanity. As we continue to expand our efforts across both Ada and Canyon Counties, our programs are ramping up like never before. From building new homes and completing critical home repairs to enhancing our ReStore operations, we're working tirelessly to support more individuals and families in our community. With the completion of our most recent home in Star – and Aladdin and Raghad and their children enjoying the first taste of home ownership freedom – we kick off a new development located in Boise on Maple Grove, and new opportunities to invite people to take part in the Habitat Experience as we expand our services into eastern Canyon County. As we say goodbye to June, there’s much to reflect on here at Habitat. The first day of June was our framing event with area United Methodist Churches, where over a hundred people came together to build the walls for our next home in Boise. The next week, we closed on Aladdin and Raghad’s home in Star and celebrated with amazing homemade food. We partnered with NeighborWorks to help fix up homes for Paint the Town.
