Donate Monthly

Giving on a monthly basis can make the greatest impact with your donation dollars. Being able to count on your monthly gift allows Habitat to better plan and grow our programs and services so that we can serve more families, together.

When you give monthly, you become a Hope Builder - a special group of committed Habitat supporters who receive a variety of different benefits throughout the year in appreciation for your commitment to a world where everyone has a decent place to live.

Planned Giving

Planned giving is a lasting gift to Habitat that impacts your local community for generations to come. Here are some ways to give a planned gift:

Interested in giving to Treasure Valley Habitat for Humanity but feel overwhelmed by the thought of writing another check or giving up your assets today? A simple, flexible, and versatile way to ensure your charitable intentions continue for years to come is a gift in your will or trust, known as a charitable bequest. No matter how small, everyone wants to make a mark, leave a legacy, and make a difference.

A surprise to many people, cash may not always be the best way to give. Gifts of appreciated stock, for example, may give you both a charitable deduction and an exemption from capital gains taxes on the appreciation.

To speak with someone on staff on how you can leave a legacy with planned giving, please contact Jim Phelps, Development Director, at jphelps@tvhabitat.org or 208-331-2916. Together, we can create a plan that meets the needs of your family while making the greatest impact beyond your lifetime.

Other Ways to Give

Honor/Memorial Gifts

Gifts in honor or memory of a loved one are an increasingly popular option for making a gift to non-profit organizations. You can honor family and friends with a donation to Treasure Valley Habitat for Humanity. Your gift will help an Ada or Canyon County family get out of inadequate housing and into a home of their own. Whether it is a birthday, anniversary, holiday, or other special occasion, your gift will be a special one that will continue giving well into the future. Honor/ Memorial Gifts can be made on-line, in person at Habitat’s administrative office, over the phone at 208-331-2916, or by mailing a check to our office:

Treasure Valley Habitat for Humanity P.O. Box 6571
Boise, ID 83707
If mailing a check, please include a note that explains who the gift is honoring. You will receive the tax benefit, and your honoree or their family will receive a note in the mail letting them know about the special way you acknowledged them. Please include contact name and address if you’d like us to notify your honoree.
