A Drive-thru Dedication!

Jason Welch’s Habitat home was unique even before it had the unexpected distinction of hosting our first “Drive-thru” Dedication. The Welch home also happened to be the first BVHfH house built in Kuna and it was our first Veterans Build.

So when COVID-19 prevented us from having a traditional home dedication for Jason and his two kids, we got creative. It was decided that we would practice social distancing by inviting family, friends, neighbors, volunteers, and staff to drive by the Welch home holding signs, honking horns, and shouting well-wishes as the family watched from their driveway. It was quite a sight to see!

Congratulations to Jason and to all those who worked so hard to build and dedicate this home.
