Together, we are serving the Treasure Valley through shelter.
We are excited to announce that we are underway with our current housing development project! The enrollment period for new Habitat Home applications is currently closed. We will announce the open enrollment period when we have a new project underway.
Habitat for Humanity is a homeownership program that empowers families to build a new life for themselves through the stability and security of owning their own home. Habitat homes are not given away, but are sold to families who qualify, are willing to put in hundreds of hours of labor (called Partnership Hours), and are able to make a monthly mortgage payment. Habitat homes are affordable because Habitat does not make a profit; homes are sold with a no-interest loan, and are built mostly by volunteers. Selected families are partners in every sense of the word. They contribute a minimum of 300 hours of labor building their own home and the homes of other Habitat families. Homebuyers also participate in classes to prepare them for homeownership.
