Together, we are serving the Treasure Valley through shelter.
Habitat for Humanity is a homeownership program that empowers families to build a new life for themselves through the stability and security of owning their own home. Habitat homes are not given away, but are sold to families who qualify, are willing to put in hundreds of hours of labor (called Partnership Hours), and are able to make a monthly mortgage payment. Habitat homes are affordable because Habitat does not make a profit; homes are sold with a no-interest loan, and are built mostly by volunteers. Selected families are partners in every sense of the word. They contribute a minimum of 300 hours of labor building their own home and the homes of other Habitat families. Homebuyers also participate in classes to prepare them for homeownership.
The 2023 application period has closed as of Friday, April 28, 2023. Please check back for future application periods.
During the next year Treasure Valley Habitat for Humanity will be celebrating the women of Habitat! The centerpiece of this celebration is the Women Build Event. Women from all over Treasure Valley will form teams comprised of friends, colleagues and other associates. The goal of the team is to raise money and other resources to support Habitat and then gear up to help build a home. Your team will get one or more days on the build-site depending on the number of points you earn!
