Together, we are serving the Treasure Valley through shelter.
Habitat for Humanity is a homeownership program that empowers families to build a new life for themselves through the stability and security of owning their own home. Habitat homes are not given away, but are sold to families who qualify, are willing to put in hundreds of hours of labor (called Partnership Hours), and are able to make a monthly mortgage payment. Habitat homes are affordable because Habitat does not make a profit; homes are sold with a no-interest loan, and are built mostly by volunteers. Selected families are partners in every sense of the word. They contribute between 300-500 hours of labor building their own home and the homes of other Habitat families. Homebuyers also participate in classes to prepare them for homeownership.
The 2023 application period has closed as of Friday, April 28, 2023. Please check back for future application periods.
End-of-year giving is vital to our mission of building strength, stability, and self-reliance in the Treasure Valley. Support us through Avenues for Hope, where your donation can help us win additional prizes and multiply your impact.
Prefer another way to give? Donations via our website or mail are always welcome.
Thank you for keeping Treasure Valley Habitat for Humanity and the families we serve in your heart this year.
