Women Build | Treasure Valley Habitat for Humanity

Welcome to Women Build 2026! During the next year Treasure Valley Habitat for Humanity will be celebrating the women of Habitat! The centerpiece of this celebration is the Women Build Event.

Here’s the gist: women from all over Treasure Valley will form teams comprised of friends, colleagues and other associates. The goal of the team is to raise money and other resources to support Habitat and then gear up to help build a home. Your team will get one or more days on the build-site depending on the number of points you earn!

And, once the home is built, we celebrate!

No Skill or Experience Required!

When you make the choice to start a team or become a member, you’re making a choice to strengthen women, families, and the entire community. You make a difference!

Women Build welcomes everyone, experienced builders, first-time volunteers, and community partners alike. No prior construction experience is necessary; every participant plays a vital role. Whether you’re wielding a paintbrush, coordinating logistics, or raising funds, you’ll be contributing to something much bigger than any single task. Across the Treasure Valley, women lead as volunteers, donors, homeowners, and advocates. Their participation in Women Build demonstrates what happens when compassion meets capability.

Worried about using power tools? No sweat! We’ll train you and be with you every step of the way! After no time at all you’ll be using a chop-saw and nail-gun like a pro!

Want to participate without swinging a hammer? Also, no problem! There are plenty of ways for you to volunteer with event planning, logistical support, marketing, even making lunches for fellow participants! No matter how you participate, you are valued!

Women Build is not just about swinging hammers or raising walls. It is about dismantling barriers that have kept too many women and families from achieving safe, affordable housing. Housing security is foundational to social and economic stability. When people thrive, families stabilize, communities strengthen, and the cycle of generational poverty begins to break.

Once you become a team member, you instantly become a member of the Treasure Valley Women’s Guild. The Guild is there to provide support for Habitat programs/initiatives, support women in the trades, encourage young people to consider the trades as a viable career path, and more. There will be special Guild-only newsletters, social events, and other fun stuff.
