Thrivent Faith Build 2018 Home Completed

Mohamed Mohamud and his two adult children Fardowsa and Ibrahim Muse closed on their new home at TitleOne Corp. on Wednesday, August 22nd. Later that day we celebrated their home dedication with a good-sized group of friends, volunteers, donors, and sponsors.

Among the guests were our long-standing supporters from Thrivent Financial, who sponsored the construction of this house through the 2018 Faith Build grant.

Our new “cake lady” volunteer Mary Ann Lau brought a chocolate cake with green trim, to match the house at 336 E. 46th Street in Garden City. We also dined on delicious African food cooked by the family, who hails from Somalia.

Many thanks go out to everybody who helped build this house and who helped support the family as they completed their Habitat requirements.
