On Wednesday, August 17, Boise Valley Habitat for Humanity welcomed Sayed, Sadiqeh, and their three children home. The home dedication featured the presentation of the keys to their new home, as well as light refreshments and tours of the completed space. The entire day was filled with joy, hope, and so much excitement.

The 16th Annual Evening in the Garden was a huge success thanks to the sponsors, donors, volunteers, and guests that contributed to the beautiful summer evening of silent and live auctions.

We are still in awe of the generosity shown to Treasure Valley Habitat for Humanity during our Avenues for Hope campaign. Thanks to your support, we were able to raise $42,785 to further our mission of providing decent, affordable homes for people in need in Ada County.

Gary Lane: Slowly, but surely.Work continues at Boise Valley Habitat for Humanity's third home-build on Gary Lane, but COVID-19-related supply chain issues have delayed typical timelines.With cabinet shipments delayed until December, the project is currently projected to be completed at the beginning of the new year. In recent months, a lot has changed about how non-profit organizations operate. One thing that remains consistent is the need to raise money to fund the mission. This month Treasure Valley Habitat for Humanity will participate in Avenues for Hope, a statewide, online program to raise awareness and enhance resources for those nonprofits addressing housing needs and related services in Idaho.

Jason Welch’s Habitat home was unique even before it had the unexpected distinction of hosting our first “Drive-thru” Dedication. The Welch home also happened to be the first BVHfH house built in Kuna and it was our first Veterans Build.
